Wood Source supplies sustainable natural wood products directly from the forest floor.
Building for the Future
The construction industry accounts for roughly 37% of worldwide greenhouse gas emissions. Of those, approximately 11% are linked to building materials.
Material selection is key to sustainable design and construction. As a supplier of natural wood materials, Wood Source is committed to providing sustainable products that benefit the health of our planet and connect people to nature.

The answer is simple. Wood is the most sustainable building material on Earth.
When sourced from responsibly managed forests, wood is a renewable resource. Selective cutting ensures old-growth trees are allowed to thrive, while tree farms produce abundant fast-growing trees without disturbing forest ecosystems. In short, we take only what we need and nothing more.
Wood also acts as a natural carbon store. As trees grow, they absorb carbon from the atmosphere and store it permanently. Wood can have up to a 75% lower carbon footprint than other materials like concrete or steel.

Wood Source products follow a clear path from forest to finish. Unlike other distributors, we source our softwoods directly from Pacific Northwest sawmills.
Direct-from-mill sourcing does more than reduce our prices. It also reduces transportation emissions and ensures our lumber is harvested from responsibly managed forests.

Lunawood ThermoWood® is thermally modified wood with excellent sustainability characteristics.
Lunawood is sourced from renewable PEFC-certified forests in Finland. According to the Finnish Forestry Act, for every tree that is cut, four new ones must be planted. Since Nordic spruce and pine have long growth cycles of 80 years, they absorb roughly five times the carbon they take to produce.
ThermoWood® is thermally modified using a patented manufacturing process governed by the International ThermoWood® Association (ITWA). ThermoWood® products have reduced moisture absorption and high dimensional stability ideal for exterior applications in demanding mountain environments.
Wood Source is the official Lunawood distributor for the Rocky Mountain region. Explore the Lunawood Collection to learn more.
